If we were having coffee, I’d give you updates:
- The sweltering weather finally broke and we are back to much more tolerable temperatures, and even some light rain.
- My dog Chules is still under the weather, but I’m keeping a wait-and-see attitude as long as he continues to eat and drink water. Maybe it’s just a bug that needs to run its course.
- My house painting project is done except for some touch up work, but I’m in no hurry to start climbing ladders again. I have moved my painting efforts inside and am preparing baseboards for my living room floor project. (You can read all about that project here.)
- I’m still whittling away at my wood knot “sculpture,” and I still have no idea as to what I will do with it.
- My dandelions survived the hot weather quite well, and will be blooming again soon, I am sure.
That about covers it for my update. Did I miss anything?
I could probably come up with something to rant about, but I’ll refrain from doing so today. We can just rest, relax and enjoy our coffee.
I hope you have a great week coming up. Thanks for stopping by.
Thank you to Diana at PartTimeMonsterBlog.com for hosting the #WeekendCoffeeShare.
Sweltering weather? Here too. Just relaxing and having coffee sounds really good.

I suppose “sweltering” is relative. People in warmer climes would probably laugh at what I consider to be hot weather. I’ll take the clouds and coolness any day.

Hope the puppy feels better. I have one with a torn CCL. Not fun.

That torn CCL sounds very painful. Not fun, for sure. I end up feeling so helpless when there’s something bothering my pets. Thanks for your concern.

Whoa! You painted your house, how long did that take?
Also you are at the end of things house done, sculpture done
I hope your dog stays well. In summers my dog would hardly eat, he would just sleep all day long

I was in no hurry with the house painting, so it took a long time overall. Yes, at the end of things, but there’s always something new coming up as well. Thank you for the well-wishes for my dog. He seems more perky today.

The hot weather has modified here and hopefully no fires will start burning. I would think there is nowhere else that could burn in the Northwest. Dandelion don’t mind the heat.

I agree about the fires. Hopefully this will be a much calmer year in that regard.

I think Idaho, Oregon and Washington State all have one fire burning from lighting.

Let’s hope we can keep ahead of them.

Thank you. The “sculpture” part was done by mother nature. I’m just whittling off the bark and outer layer of wood to make it smooth. You can see it in its original form here: https://whatrhymeswithstanza.com/2016/04/12/blended-identity/
