It’s National Dog Day. Let’s celebrate man’s best friend (and world’s worst actors).
“I’m really sorry I did it. Really, really sorry. Um… which ‘it’ did you discover?”
“I don’t know why the cat dug up the water sprinkler, but I scared him away just before you got here.”
“There’s something stuck between my teeth? How embarrassing. Do you have a mirror?”
Cat: “If stealth were a diet, you dogs would starve. Some day I’ll teach you the fine art of aloofness.”
Dog: “You’re a real pal, cat.”
Cat: “Let’s just keep that between you and me. I’ve got a reputation to uphold.”
Hihih, these are excellent!

That last picture is just priceless. Especially with the one foot sticking off the table. And the cat’s all neatly bunched up like he was born to curl up on top of tables. 😀

Actually that table is the dog’s usual perch. I’m not sure how the cat managed to wangle his way on there.

*shrug* Cats have their ways of wrangling their way onto or into things.

They certainly do. But you’re right, the kitty looks right at home. Maybe I should get him his own table.

If your cat has the normal levels of feline contrariness, he’d probably use the dog’s table more than his own. 😆

I think you’re totally right on that point.

Hi Chules – Tink here! Thanks for coming to my party. I hope you met lots of interesting pet bloggers you didn’t already know, and went by to say hi to the ones you did.
Mom never told me there was a whole day reserved for all us dogs – and I am certainly going to speak to her about THAT!
She does this calendar at the beginning of every month for Mental Health Awareness days. Some of those other days she lists seem a bit distantly related, if you ask me, and everybody knows that having a dog is one of the best things anybody can do for their mental health (no offense to all the kitties, but we make them exercise too, which is great for depression, even ADD).
I’m puttin’ it on her calendar – August 26: National Dog Day. Yep. (maybe she’ll let me guest blog the August one, even)
Woof! TINK

Hi, Tink: It’s Chules. You throw a great party. I’m running across all sorts of interesting pets and their people. I’m an emotional support buddy, so I do my best to keep my mom entertained, exercised and sometimes I even bark her into a trip to the dog park. She can’t resist my puppy eyes and fuzzy head tilt. Glad to make your acquaintance, and glad you discovered National Dog Day. As the saying goes, “Every dog has its day!” Cheers!

So that’s what that quote means!
Mom’s sister had an emotional support dog too, a big German Shepherd (after Jaye had been raped) — Annie even saved her Mom’s life a couple of times, barking until somebody came when she slipped into a diabetic coma.
The world needs us!
Woof!

Hi, Kali here. Tink sent me to say hi to his friends. This is a cute bunch of pictures! The back cat looks like my cat buddy, Rosie. She has lots of toes. But she likes to give me baths. I just got started helping MommaDar blog. She makes sure to tag my name if I am doing the blogging or if the blog is about me. Nice to meet you! Kali

Hi, Kali: I’m glad MammaDar lets you post now and again. Her blog looks like a great place to hang out. Maybe I can start getting a byline when I contribute to this blog. I’ll have to check on that. Thanks for stopping by.
Chules.

What is a byline, Chules? I’m new at this bloggy thing. Kali
