Yes, yours is beautiful, too. I think we’re at opposite sides of the country, but the beauty of autumn spans the distance.

Yes it does. We are just about through autumn here in New England. It was 28 degrees last night.

We’re getting high 50s and low 60s in the day, and mid- to high 40s at night. But lots of rain!

Like Spring then? We had our first snow last night. It didn’t stick but it covered the windshields of the cars in our lot.

Snow in October? Yikes! We rarely get any snow at all.

There is an old wive’s tale in our region that says the day of the first snow fall is the number of snow storms we will have that year. If it holds true this year it means we are in for 27 storms which will show the tracks of a cat.

I’d be heading for warmer climes, but it’s probably beautiful.

Well the upside is we have no forest fires. Earthquakes are pretty much unknown. We may have a tornado or hurricane every twenty years or so and we have only one or two poisonous animals to contend with and they are pretty rare. And you are right the autumn and winters are beautiful.

Okay, you’ve got me with the forest fires. And the threat of “The Big One” earthquake that looms over our heads (if we allow it to). It’s on my bucket list to visit Vermont some autumn. Maybe after the Big One. 🙂

Vermont is truly beautiful. You should swing through the White mountains while you do the Green. Franconia Notch in the fall is not a thing to be missed.

I love the way the sun accentuates the golden glow of the trees. Gold and yellow sure were certainly in vogue here in the PNW🍂
