NaPoWriMo Challenge, Day 28: “Draft a prose poem in the form/style of a postcard.” Okay, maybe I took it a little too literal 🙂

Oh, Maggie, this would be great even without such meticulous presentation, since the words themselves are so beautiful. ❤ And the photo and all. Truly transportive.

I think I had more fun designing the postcard than I did writing it. 🙂

There’s the fun in the design showing but the words bring it to life. I’m glad you got featured, highly deserved! ❤

Bravo! This is fantastic. It feels alive & real. Good job not trifling with the snore-deprived boxer. 👍

She’s back at it tonight. Appears I’m going to be the snore-deprived one. I’m glad you enjoyed the poem 🙂

I felt that sense of enjoyment as I viewed the poem within the postcard borders. I love writing poems over favourite recent photos. Go into paint and fiddle until it pleases. But hey, love the poem.

Thank you. I use the paint program, too. If I knew how to use something complicated like Photoshop, I’d probably never get anything written.

You made it come alive…felt the cold and could see boxer too😊

Thank you! I couldn’t see the boxer, but I sure could hear her.

Sometimes I use paint to write the poems to the side of a photo. Here’s a posting of one.

A nice presentation. It really helps to relate words to photo. Fitting and beautiful!

I won’t inundate you but just this one where I’d written on the photograph. My very forward great-granddaughter at about 20 months.

Ha! I’m all about dogs this week as I’m petsitting for my son and family. Love what you did with this. Brava!

Exactly what I’m doing! The boxer and a young lab are my daughter’s, and I’ve got an American Eskimo of my own. Full house! Thank you!

Cool postcard! Hal will take the Henry Weinhardt’s and I’ll take the drafty cabin. 🙂 You are getting in lots of practice and it shows. 🙂

I figured only locals would make that connection :). Who’s going to take the snoring dog?

That depends on whether the dog likes Henry Weinhardt. 🙂

I think she’s more of the Bailey’s Irish Cream type. I do know she likes lattes. I wrote about it here:
