I would too !
I don’t know what these are. They grow in my back yard. No flower that I’ve ever seen, they just produce these (fruit?) that fall off the branches while still green. I think maybe the squirrels eat them. I wish I knew what they were.

They look like quince to me. My mother used to boil them to make a Jello like substance that she added flavors of other fruits and berries to. Boy oh boy, are they hard – – – like a rock. even after setting on the ground for some time.

I’ve been investigating… they appear to be some kind of walnut. I came across a recipe for an Italian walnut liqueur, but I think I’ll leave them to the squirrels.

Thanks. My error. They must be on a tree and not a bush. Correct?

Yes, they are. I’ve never seen a quince. I take it they grow on bushes?

Yes, about six feet tall and same around. They have pink or white flowers in the spring and early summer.
