Which instruments do you (not) play? When I quit playing piano, I gave mine to my daughter. I just couldn’t figure out how to hang it on the wall. 😉

Oh there are lots I haven’t mastered most instruments I am just a hack at actually. Maybe next year I will pick up a few more.

My fingers aren’t quite nimble enough anymore, so now I’m trying to gently help introduce the grandkids to the joys of playing music.

Chris wanted to look, and by, a dulcimer many years ago. I told her no. That same weekend we ended up buying a 35 acre plot of land and a manufactured home to go on it. The land was part of an old American Indian reservation and the land felt sacred.

Is that still where you live? Does Chris still want a dulcimer? I know where she could get a “lightly used” one 😉

I’ll ask her. I doubt it though, but who knows. We lost that ranch do to foreclosure. When I got sick in 2001 and was in a coma for 40 days and hospitalized for 5 months…. well need I say more.

We have instruments like that, too. A Hawaiian guitar comes to mind. I have thought about buying a dulcimer for my daughter when she graduates with her music degree. I hope she would use it; it’s such a beautiful instrument.
