Reluctantly I select one.
Meaningless; set it down.
Bored, I ponder others.
These to the left; those up top.
Angry, I’m seeing red.
To the right with those.
Puzzled, I look up.
“It’s forming a picture.”
“Yes,” smiles the therapist.
“That’s how this works.”
Oh, I like this. Our hearts and minds are a puzzle, aren’t they?

I like where you took the prompt and your use of color symbols within the puzzle as creation of an image. Nicely done.

The therapist is helping see the puzzle pieces. Sometimes I think mine are lost.

Then we have to check the floor beneath the puzzle table. I have no metaphor for that. 🙂

I’ve just been reading a book in which the main character visits her husband in a psychological ward where a couple is doing a jigsaw puzzle, which is one of the reasons why I love the twist in your quadrille!

Love this.. our heart and mind are something like a puzzle… one need only know where the right pieces fit in ❤

and that can take a lot of trial and error, but well worth it. I’m glad you liked it.

Great. 🙂 The title makes me think of this song, I hope you like it. The man is a darling, heard him live in Rome a few years ago.

I like the part at 1:50, where he sings, “I kissed you in the hallway, then I took you straight to bed.” Then it shows a violinist who seems to be tilting his head to look disapprovingly down his nose at that behavior. 😀

As a therapist, I loved reading this! You’re so right – therapy is fitting the puzzle pieces of a life together so that the client can gain insight into their life.

Sometimes it seems so random that you don’t realize you’re making any progress. Then one day you realize that some of the pieces are starting to fit together.

Great way to show how hard it is to picture what life is all about!

I have the same thought… life is a puzzle… but sometimes I think the worst thing would be if all the pieces fitted, maybe that would be the real end.

Somehow, I can not imagine ever getting all the pieces together. Probably a good thing, as you say.

Sometimes the pieces are hard to pick up. We have to acknowledge them to put them into place. A thought-proving piece.
