My garden wall is a-hum.
Bees hover deep among
shadowed vines where
Boston ivy cascades
it’s shiny, lush greenery
down the stone face.
Soon autumn’s chill
will silence the wall,
dropping crimson leaves to
reveal the sinewy roadmap
of paths taken by
summer-humming bees.
dVerse Quadrille poetry prompt: hum.

Loving all the soundbump-hum within this beautiful piece.

Thank you. A neighbor approached me to tell me I had a bee hive in my vines. She was just hearing all the visitors. No hive.

Your poem is humming with the magic of bees. Soon they will disappear as autumn chill arrives.

Yes, but then the birds will come in and eat the berries. A whole new hum of activity!

Not for me, unfortunately. I don’t know where they live.
