tenacity

Sometimes growth isn’t about new beginnings and fresh starts.
Sometimes it’s about perseverance through tough times,
when stagnation would be so much easier;
giving up easier still.

Sometimes growth comes with refusing to wilt.

The Daily Post weekly photo challenge: Growth

Three Arches in Black & White

window5

When I saw the subject for this week’s Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge, I knew I had the perfect photo. The theme this week is “Arches, Domes and Half Circles.”

So here’s a photo of a half-circle window that abstractly depicts the Three Arch Rocks in Oceanside, OR. I just finished making this window and we installed it a couple of days ago.

If you’d like to see the window in color (recommended), I’ve posted it on my Glass Gallery page here.

Here are some more photos for the Challenge:

Transformation: Pet to Portrait

This week’s Daily Post photo challenge is around the theme of “Transformation.”

A new undertaking for me is turning pet portraits into stained glass representations; a transformation from photo to cartoon pattern to stained glass panel! And even the finished project is transformed with every change of lighting throughout the day.

Take a look!
