Dog Imitates Art

The theme for this week’s Daily Post photo challenge is “Life Imitates Art.”

When I created the “Canid” panel (pictured below), I had a fox in mind. Some folks commented that it looked like my American Eskimo dog, except for the coloring of course.

I’ve been thinking about tweaking the design to make a similar panel to represent my Eskie. Might have to add that to the queue of projects.

WPC: Pet Victory

The theme for this week’s Daily Post photo challenge is Victory. Victories come in so many shapes and sizes, we probably experience them in one form or another on a daily basis.

Some examples of victories:

Getting your human trained to carry you wherever you go.

Finally achieving that yoga pose you’ve been working on.

Succeeding in laying that Grade AA extra large egg.

Acing puppy kindergarten.

It’s a Sonnet, Doggone it!

NOTE: January 3, 2019 ~ It’s been over three years since I wrote this sonnet, and it’s still the only one I’ve managed. The dVerse prompt today is the sonnet. The form still confounds me, but I will stretch my comfort zone and practice writing another one. Maybe two. In the meantime, I am sharing this poem, and am most welcoming of feedback. Thank you. 

October 19, 2015:

The final assignment in the WordPress Writing 201 course is to write a sonnet. Not my style at all, although I have to admit I’ve never tried to write one before.

At any rate, I hiked up my Shakespeare shorts and dove in, and as you can see below, my muse Chules chipped in by demonstrating his poetry quothe-ing and theatrical emoting skills.
